Alex Morse, director of MUSIC is THERAPY and Registered Music Therapist, graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007 with a Bachelor of Music (Music Therapy) (Honours). Alex established her practice in north and north west Tasmania in the areas of creative ageing and early years.
Alex has extensive experience in conducting national music therapy programs within local communities and her passions lie in using music to connect with vulnerable families and establishing strong parent child attachments.
Alex strongly believes in supporting creativity and artistic self-expression in older people.
Combining both her interests, early years and aged care, Alex nurtures partnerships which foster intergenerational engagement through creative arts and music.
Since 2007, Alex has presented numerous papers, lectures and workshops at Universities, schools, childcare centres, and residential aged care facilities to both staff and families.
